This place is a four in terms of authenticity, flavor and items available to purchase. There are Regina chocolates, Maria biscuits, Portuguese olives, peppers, and so on. The list goes on actually. It had a diverse selection of Portuguese goods. The baked goods were just as diverse. They had pasteis de nata (custard cakes), queijadas (Portuguese cheecakes) in a variety of flavors and fresh breads. They also sold traditional American apple and blueberry turnovers. Some carrot cakes and basic cookies. The prices are reasonable and it appeared to be a busy little place. I got a box with a variety of things and all were fresh and baked that day. Pros: -Fresh baked goods. There are delicious sweet breads, traditional Portuguese rolls and savory meat breads. -Service was quick, friendly and in Portuguese and English. -Location is good. There is both off street and on street parking. -Clean establishment. -Accepts both cash and card. Note: I tend to find reviews more credible from those Yelpers who at least show their faces, provide consistent reviews and actively participate on this social site. If a review sits out here, poorly written under a faceless, angry, and vengeful individual, now is that credible? Tell me if I'm wrong.

My family has been coming here for years. Whenever we want Portuguese pastries, this is the place to go! The bread is also delicious as well! We get an assortment of pastries , but one of our favorites is the big queijada de nata! We also come here for that good old fashioned ground Portuguese coffee , goat cheese , sumol bottles and so much more. It's a little Portuguese market and bakery in one place. How much happier can a person get!

theee SPOT! For Portuguese Goodies and made to order Cakes! The best place in Rhode Island for all your favorite Portuguese Breads and Pastries and they also make fantastic made to order Cakes. My Mother was very happy with her Birthday cake. If they served high quality fresh amazing coffee I would probably be here every day. Hint Hint! Jus sayin Speaking of Mother's, today is Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day! I'm off to see mine right now!

Best part about this place is the price. I tried this place on a whim and am glad i did. We got delicious Portuguese desserts I love and the eclairs were also amazing. got 4 desserts for $3.05. amazing!

Was not satisfied. The pastries I tried all seemed stale and tasteless. I couldn't take more than one bite of the cannoli. What a disappointment. Maybe their bread is better?

Ew. I def didn't appreciate the two pieces of hair in my pizza. YUK! Before I found the hair I was loving it. The sauce was delicious, sweet with a little tang. The dough was different, but good as well. The sweet bread was really good, and remained soft for a few days versus most sweet bread that turns hard in the center. I was also not a fan of the cupcakes, they weren't good. Nothing about them was appealing or appetizing. I will not be returning here ever again, and I def don't recommend anything, but the sweet bread.

Best Portuguese bakery! It reminds me of my Vovo's home cooking. Sweet bread is wonderful! And you can get it in different sizes. Great prices. Authentic!

Someone brought pastry from this place to my office and we all like it. The pastry is not overly sweet like most American Bakery, but wait, we didn't have the cupcake or cakepop so I can't say it applies to all their product. After having some treats at the office, we decided to check this place out when we were in the neighborhood. My hubby tried the queijadas de nata, and he likes it. We took it home and baked to serve it hot. It was flaky and filled with the sweet flavor of egg custard. I tried the Napoleon, which kind of "deflated". When we were at the bakery, it looked like it has 2 inch high, but when I open the box (which I admitted was a day later), it was only about 1-1.25 inch. I don't know if I remembered it the way I wanted it to be, but I was disappointed. I had it at room temperature. After one day and not being able to bake it, it is not flaky anymore, again, my fault to wait too long. But I thought it would be better. It is too sweet for me, like other American bakery product, which again remind me why I bake my own cake and whatnot. One thing I don't like, across all stores, is that they don't have a price tag. I have to ask for the price of each bakery item. I mean, yeah, it is not that much money, but I still want to know how much I am paying for before going to check out. Sometimes I simply walk out from a store if I don't see a price on things there. The lady who was behind the cashier was kind to let me know how much they cost, but I don't want to keep asking for all the items I am interested in. After all, I feel compelled to buy after giving people trouble. Anyway, last comment is I hope the lady would be friendlier. There was hardly a smile on her face.

I love this place, been coming since I was a kid. My family picks up pastries for every event here. Love the queijadas de nata best, always flaky on the outside and creamy inside with a nice torched caramely top. The selection of queijadas can't be beat, from milk to orange to bean to coconut, all amazing. Their eclairs have a flaky dough with cream and chocolate that aren't overly sweet. What I've been calling dumbo ears they call angel wings which is a light, sweet flaky pastry that looks pretty plain but you CANNOT just take one bite, you will eat the whole thing and want more. I don't think they have a pastry that I haven't tried or liked. You can get a dozen for pretty cheap, not like these new cupcake places that try to charge $4 per pastry (say what?!). They have a great variety of breads, best papo secos (not too hard or soft, and has that fresh from the bakery flour dust on it.. yum) and they even sell them individually if you just need a couple rolls. The sweet bread is also very good. You can also pick up little Portuguese odds and ends for the kitchen like pimenta muida, honey, Sumol and even goat cheese. They sell pizza strips and have different snacky foods every time I go but I haven't tried any of them although the codfish cakes (pastals de bacalhau) looked really good last time. I have to have mine hot though and it looks like they sell at room temp, no good for my stomach. Why not 5 stars? In my whole life I don't think I've ever had friendly service. Not rude, but I've never seen anyone who works there crack a smile. Lighten up ladies, you're surrounded by sugary goodness! Eat a brownie for christ's sakes and cheer up!
